Who should take this course?

To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.


What will you learn?


The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development ( online (link), or in our classroom with one of our instructors) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

Pirate Divers is a Scuba Pro dive team centre, which means that we get regular check-ups from Scuba Pro that our gear is in a perfect conditions, this assures our students at the gear they will be using is the best the island has to offer.

PADI Open Water Scuba Diver

  • For cancellations we allow for a refund if we are notified at least 24 hours before the trip date. Deposits are non-refundable, except if Pirate Divers cancel a trip due to poor sailing conditions. In these circumstances a reschedule would be requested, we will try to reschedule before 6pm a day before.
